Our client, a fast-growing player in the metal recycling sector, is looking to appoint a driven and commercially astute Scrap Metal Trader to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a business that values expertise, independence, and results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Buy and sell ferrous or non-ferrous scrap materials to maximise profit margins
• Develop and maintain strong supplier networks across the UK and internationally
• Identify new trading opportunities and stay ahead of market trends
• Negotiate competitive pricing and contracts
• Collaborate with operational teams to ensure seamless supply chain processes
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies

Requirements:

• Proven track record in scrap metal trading (ferrous and/or non-ferrous)
• Strong commercial acumen and market awareness
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated with a results-driven attitude
• Export trading experience is highly advantageous

Package Details:

• Competitive salary – fully negotiable based on experience
• Car Allowance
• Monthly commission structure
• Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
• 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
• Autonomy to develop and grow your own trading portfolio within a successful business
